Fruiting Body Shape shelf mushroom, one on top off to the side, bracket fungi,
Size large, 60cm wide x about 18 cm long
Texture very dry, leathery, hard,
Pileus (cap) kidney shaped, dark red ruby color, offset, flat shelf fungi, rippled wavy appearance
Stipe (stem) no stipe
Pores very tiny fine pores, brown surface
Taste Didn’t taste
Odor earthy, muddy
Spore Print brown
other very dry, looked very old and past maturity
Microscopic Characteristics
Basidiospores 11 × 7 µm , egg shaped, light golden brown, double walled
truncate means smoothly rounded- egg shaped, or elliptical
