Size of sporangia

The sporangia are about .5 mm in diameter. As to preservation, I just glued the wood substrate to a piece of card and placed it in a jewelry box. Kept dry, it will persist indefinitely.

John, can you give an approximate average diameter for these “caps”? Does one preserve these by the usual dehydration methods?
