Colour: Brown on top, white at bottom.
Flesh Consistency: Cartilagenous, fleshy; breaks with audile snap.
Gills: Not present
Pores: yes.

Recognized by sight: Meripilus sumstinei may also be considered. But I doubt this obs is M. sumstinei; the “fronds” are too small and I see no black staining on the context.
