Notes: Fruiting in a large group on a commercial lawn.
Pileus convex to plane. White turning to brown at umbo and forming scales, then “stretch marks” and darkening to margin. Shiny, inrolled when young, bruising bright yellow when rubbed then fading quickly. 3.7cm – 8cm.
Gills pallid to brown, thin, free.
Stipe mauve at apex to tan. Bruises bright yellow, instantly, when cut, then turning brown. 14mm at apex. Annulus skirt-like, evanescent, easily detached.
Phenolic odor when crushed.
