Observation 119328: Non-fungal

No specimen available

This maybe be non fungal but it sure appears to be a fungus. Found growing on dead leaves. Some have tiny red pieces growing in a circular order around the rounded “fungi”.

The one that someone suggested may have been paint or the one you suggested may be galls from a wasp species? If you are talking about the one which resembled paint then yes, ill need to relist it. I initally thought you meant the non fungals on the leaf. Sorry for the confusing hassle. I appreciate your patience. :-)

Yikes….sorry. I wasn’t thinking along those lines….but that makes sense. Is there a way to reinstate the listing? If not, I will relist the observation. I appologize!

Why did you delete your non-fungal obs? It still added value to this site even if it could not be a fungus. Now others that are more experienced then me and shroomydan can’t see it, or new people can’t see it and avoid making the same mistake…

Maybe some old galls?

Maybe caused by wasps in the family Cynipidae?
