but has the same problems. This obs. is cushion-shaped, NOT shallowly cup-shaped.

Dasyscyphus was recently suggested.

So I checked here on MO for other obs. of that genus, and found all are small cup fungi, many with cilia (hairs) on the outside of the cup.

This obs. lacks the hairs and the cup structure of Dasyscyphus. But I’d be interested in learning more about the genus if someone has a reference to share.
