Observation 119818: Duplicate
When: 2012-12-06
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Healthy flush growing in one location — a grassy patch trailside in a little-visited regional park. Harvested half the flush on Friday, 12.6,2012 drying and cooking most of it while waiting on a spore print, which when viewable had no hint of green, but was a consistent greyish-white. This relieved my concern over whether I’d harvested Chlorophyllum molybdites, but didn’t confirm whether what I had was C. rhacodes or an edible lookalike, e.g., Chlorophyllum brunneum. In any case, they were delicious last week, as were the remaining, now-larger individuals I harvested yesterday (12.12.12) on returning to the site and finding them unmolested.
