Notes: In Aurora this keys out eventually to Amanita velosa, but I have never found A. velosa in my area before, so question that identification. I suppose it is possible, just unusual. Volval patches on cap scattered, not large and centralized. Mushroom not as large and stip not as thick as I expect it to be in A. velosa. Stipe narrowing toward the cap, with numerous white scales. First picture taken with flash, so more yellowish-tan than subsequent photos.
