The only problem is: I picked those specimen at the bottom of the talus slope, on pieces of rock that look like a shale (maybe), braking into flattish flakes. Most of the specimen pictured here are on boulders that are part of that talus slope. Some of them are quartzites (main rock in that gorge). I also have more photos depicting similar species, but with much more extra algae on the surface (some can be seen in 5th photo from the top), and some of them are obviously on reddish quartize. I suspect several species intermixed on that site.
