Thanks for your comment and opinion, that was clear enough. It was so long ago that I don’t reccal the details, but for sure (as the photos show) there was not a “stipe”.

Difference C. falcata and C. vermicularis

Clavaria falcata has a destinct ‘stipe’, which is usually almost translucent white, where as C. vermicularis has no destinct ‘stipe’. Here’s my spotting of C. falcata, so you can see what I mean: http://mushroomobserver.org/202161
With this in mind, I think your first photo is not C. falcata, but C. vermicularis or C. fragilis. I don’t know the difference between those two species though.

How to separate Clavaria falcata from the similar species C. vermicularis and C. fragilis, which also seem very similar to me?
