Recognized by sight: unnamed species that we have collected before; similar to a white lepidella but browns/reddens.
Based on microscopic features

Recognized by sight: amanita with friable UV, membranous PV; fb browns rather than reddens.
Based on chemical features: DNA (thanks to Rob Powers) shows this as a distinct, currently unnamed species (no surprise here), closest relative is Amanita brunnescens.

Based on chemical features: a close DNA match to Ron’s original material.
