Notes: These were growing on the ground in mixed woods, primarily Live oak and Tanoak.
Caps up to 11.2 cm across.
Spore print was a creamy white and they were dextrinoid with Melzers.
Spores were ~ 5.3-6.9 X 3.0-3.5 microns, smooth with a small “spur” apiculus off one end.

I’ve ever seen them period.
There are a couple of local observations on MO and Dimitar seems to have found several collections as noted on his website.
I don’t think I’ve seen these in California, didn’t know they were out there. How common do you think these are in the area?
