Observation 12104: Chlorophyllum Massee

When: 2008-10-05

Collection location: Southeast Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, USA [Click for map]

Who: Daniel B. Wheeler (Tuberale)

No specimen available

While I know this as Lepiota rachodes (and probably always will) apparently the name has been changed, once again, to Chlorophyllum. Edible for me, although not the best tasting/eating mushroom. Best is free, I think. Rehydrated is ok as long as well-cooked to thoroughly rehydrate.

I’m not sure there’s enough visible evidence in your photos to call this C. rachodes.
