Observation 121067: Clavulina cristata (Holmsk.) J. Schröt.

When: 2012-09-10

Seen at: Pembroke, Maine, USA [Click for map]

Who: Terri Clements/Donna Fulton (pinonbistro)

No specimen available

This specimen was yellow in color when fresh. It appears to me to have crowns on the tips of the branches. It was picked in an older mixed hardwood and conifer forest with lots of rotting wood on the forest floor so I couldn’t tell whether this specimen was growing out of wood or soil.
