Last spring I found at this location some small pieces of thallus of (what I thought at the time to be) Peltigera collina (see observation 92750). My recent observations seems to confirm the existence of this species here and, this time, with big populations at different places, including a fertle one (see observation 121147). All the specimens grew on the trunks of mossy trees and not at their base; those in this observation grew on a very big and old chestnut with more than 2 meters in diameter.
