It was very wet after days of rain, and almost everything was wet and slimy. But these fruiting bodies were not viscid at all. The smell was mild. The edge of caps had faint striation. There were quite a few of them under live oaks. So I thought they fit the description in the field guide to mushrooms of western north america.
I think that I have something similar.
