Wood, only if on roots. It was on… I don’t know to explain in portuguese imagine in english… a lateral land, when you open a road, of a little forest (we call it “bouça”, because is small and natural, not cultivated), i.e. on a sectional cut of land. (Vertical land wall?)

from near wood? This doesn’t seem to be a Thelephora terrestris, at least as identified by Dr. James Trappe from Oregon. Our material is mostly terrestrial, and associated with roots. Also, the palms are more leaf-like and not bound together as this is. Certainly a Thelephora, but not terrestris, I think.
