Notes: Near Douglas Fir, Coast Live Oak and Manzanita.

Taste peppery.

Cap extremely viscid. Latex staining the gills purple. KOH stains the cap yellow.

Spores from a spore print are reticulate and spiky:

Q = 1.2 [1.3] 1.4 ; N = 17 ; C = 95%
Me = 8.7 × 6.7 µm ; Qe = 1.3
