Looks like something we came across in the collections for the Pt. Reyes Fungus Fair a few weeks ago. I’ve been slapping the name “Hypholoma olivaceotinctum” on these provisionally, though in the case of the one I looked at a few weeks ago, the micro features, especially spore size, don’t support H. olivaceotinctum. However, I have observed what I consider to be proper H. olivaceotinctum from Mendocino’s “Mushroom Corners” area, and I’m told it’s more common in the Northwest. If this isn’t H. olivacotinctum, then it’s probably a close relative in the H. elongata group. Need microscopy to put an exact name on it.
