Notes: These mushrooms were growing in the grass under pine trees, in a partially sunny open area. They were numerous but not clustered. Cap size: up to 4.5 cm. Caps fibrous, somewhat shiny, golden brown with a darker brown umbo. Gills initially light brown, turning darker, sinuate. Stipe white, fibrous, darkened by spores on upper third, no annulus. Spores 5-7 × 10-12 microns, elliptical, knobby.
I have not been able to find a species of Inocybe that has this coloring and size, with knobby spores. Can anyone help?
