Observation 122056: Cortinarius emunctus Fr.
When: 2013-01-02

Notes: These were growing near Chinkapin, Manzanita and Huckleberry.
I believe they are the same as MO# 60665.
I worked up the two larger ones and the two smaller ones separately in case they were different. I found no difference in the spores and other characteristics were similar.
Caps up to 7 cm across and viscid, especially the younger ones.
Stems were also somewhat viscid.
Spores were ~ 7.0-9.0(9.7) X 5.8-7.0 microns and sl. rough.
KOH on the cap was neg.
Stems were partially hollow and overall they were relatively fragile, especially in age.
