Observation 122090: Suillus quiescens T.D. Bruns & Vellinga

Notes: Looks like S. pseudobrevipes but no veil, no visible glands on stipe, flesh white, turns yellowish near pores, no blueing, smells like Suillus pungens but more mild, found with Pinus radiata. DNA sequence confirms mushroom.

Sterile and sometimes slimy (after a rain) tissue around the edge of the cap.
