There is a pulverulent layer on the caps (covering maybe the outer half of the cap radius). This looks like the inner layer of the universal veil in section Amidella. The appendiculate margin and floccose upper stipe are also consistent with what one sees in sees in sect. Amidella. If we had a picture of the base of the stipe, I think it is likely that a rather thick-walled, saccate volva would be present.
