Notes: Has rust orange spore print. Found growing on dead oak.

Recognized by sight: it is not growing on conifer so it must be Gymnopilus junonius insted of Gymnopilus ventricosus.

I checked these for blueing , but there was none. From what I have read the junonius of this region are not active. I do not have a specimen though. Sorry.

did you notice any blue bruising on these??
if you have a dried specimen or 2, i would love to take a look at them.
