Recognized by sight: Odor? This is a bit pale for L. nuda, I think it may be something else.

Clitocybe brunneocephala May be a better fit. I’m fairly certain I’ve seen more of these growing in the area.

Some other species have this odor too.

I know a few do and am not sure of all the possibilities, but for an example, C. brunneocephala which I find here in CA also shares this odor and I am under the understanding that this species does as well.

Lepista Nuda but it had the same sweet odor.
