and enough for several herbarium collections and DNA testing.

I knew that I probably wouldn’t have an opportunity to go to this specific location again, so I grabbed everything I could.

There is no proof it damages the patch, furthermore I wanted the whole base including mycelium attached for identification.

If the microclimate is ideal then they will be back, mycelium is very tenacious.
