Observation 128129: Cortinarius (Pers.) Gray

Notes: This Cortinarius sp. was very abundant in mixed woods in this coastal Maine location. The caps had a distinctly lighter edge. Spores have a roughened surface as clearly seen in the photomicrographs. Spores are ellipsoid with a 20 spore average of 6.7 × 4.7 microns and Qm =1.42. Spore print is brown.
