Large mushroom With pinkish-grey cap; tan colored near the disc. Margin non-striate to faintly striate. Gills free and white with lamellulae present. Stipe tapering towards the apex with the portion above the annulus being white and scaly. The stipe below the annulus is greyish with reddish-brown squmuoles and turns red upon bruising. Stipe base is bulbous. The upper surface of the annulus is striate. Found in mixed woods with more pine the deciduous.
