Specimen available

Small, black, cup-shaped fungus. Top portion of the cup is wider than its base. Also, the top interior portion of the cup is sulcate. No spore sacs present. Found on dead wood in mixed woods.

Cyathus helenae. Has the charcoal-gray color. Cannot see the tufted hairs on the exterior. Something to look for in the future, Phil?
