Abies alba

occurs in plantations here and there, and is spreading spontaneously in the southern part of Sweden. They are often used as ornamental trees.

But I found the fungus on spruce.

Here it almost exclusively grows on firs. Seldom it can be found on spruce or douglas fir if you trust literature but I never have seen it on any other conifers than Abies alba.
