I find it all over central Mexico

Typically at middle to high elevation places. The high elevation spots I have seen it are quite cold, so I wouldn’t consider it a subtropical species. In Mexico, peak species diversity is at 1500 meters. It’s not an uncommon species, perhaps I can find a collection here to scope and sequence.

we don’t have this kind of mushroom as far as i know in Italy.
is it a subtropical species?
