Observation 129285: Deconica (W.G. Sm.) P. Karst.
When: 2012-09-04
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Spores smooth or nearly so, 6 – 7.3 × 3.6 – 4.3 × 4.5 µm.

Spore measurements:

6 [6.5 ; 6.8] 7.3 × 3.6 [3.8 ; 4] 4.3 µm
Q = 1.5 [1.7] 1.9 ; N = 17 ; C = 95%
Me = 6.6 × 3.9 µm ; Qe = 1.7

Douglas Smith doesn’t recognize this species and questions whether it’s really a Galerina. Perhaps Galerina section Porospora, which might be closer to Deconica.
