Habitat: Alpine.

Forest green over Usnic green. Hollow stem. Covered in linear pseudocyphellae. Forked ends. Perfectly rounded branches.Not brittle, very soft. present.

C-, CK+yellowish-orangish, KC-ambiguous light yellow.

Medulla upon cutting—> parts are a bit orange — Trentepohlia photobiont?

A. ochroleuca seems promising.

Gowardia nigricans is supposed to be the only Alectoria that lacks usnic acid. Can this be A. ochroleuca or the antarctic equivalent instead??
