Observation 129479: Rubroboletus dupainii (Boud.) Kuan Zhao et Zhu L. Yang
When: 2012-06-26
(0.0° 0.0° 1000m)

Notes: I first collected this species in my open oak woodland on July 7, 2000 but couldn’t identify it. Eventually I sent specimens to Ernst Both who identified it. This is the only red-pored bolete with a sticky cap. I collected it again in 2002 and then every year since 2005. It has spread and I now collect it in 5 locations.
