topped by the flaring ring is pretty distinctive. I’m guessing that T. magnivelare is rare in Florida, and that’s the only other Trich I know which has the sheath and flaring ring. The eastern NA version(s) of T. caligatum that I have found have all been quite bitter. My collections of T. caligatum have been made under oak or oak/pine mix.
