they match up well with the original vividus sp. description.

I guess even a vivid mushroom can fade with time.


was thought to be G. vividus in the field and was confirmed by Efrén Cázares at Oregon State University.

Some additional notes: Cap and context yellow with red tints. Stipe and context red at apex, bright yellow below. Spores fusoid, smooth, 13-20 × 6-7 µm, golden yellow in KOH.
