Used references: These specimens don’t seem to have enough red to be Exidia recisa, but it is growing on oak so I’m not sure.

of Exidia cartilaginea, but I haven’t seen it mentioned outside northern Europe.
Microscopy might help, at least narrowing down the options..

I under stand that Exidia saccharina grows on conifers in Europe. Does any one know if it grow on oak in the Americas at all? If it does not I will change my observation, even though it seem to lack the red tones of Exidia recisa.
