Growing in open areas (found several times today), in sandy soil, among grass and moss. The largest cap (old, not collected) was over 6 cm across.
Spores 7-8 × 5-6 microns. Basidia 24 × 10; sterigmata 3-4 microns.
This is a common Spring Cort here; probably the same as in observation 65697.
