Observation 130160: Subantrodia juniperina (Murrill) Audet

Polypore fruiting on eastern red cedar at “Brady” rest stop on I-80 westbound (rest stop is between Gothenburg and North Platte, NE). I see this polypore fruiting reliably every August (have observed it for more than 5 consecutive years).

Perhaps you are aware of research being conducted by a Dr. West which focuses upon juniper-associates? If not, I can forward some details. This one looks pretty interesting to me.
