Observation 130531: Boletellus dissiliens (Corner) Pegler & Young

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Inmature fungi growing on wood in local coastal reserve. When cut some bruising occured. About 6-7cm in height and cap about 3cm across. Blue colouring revrealed when unopened cap disected.

Recognized by sight: Tan cap without scales, white stipe. Pileus flesh is yellow and stains blue. Stipe flesh is white and stains (slowly) brownish orange.

Roy, Thanks for the ID. Think you might be in my Country at the moment. I have a couple of interesting finds that I would like to share with you. (unfortunately not Boletus), but interesting and different.
