When making the find I thought it to be squamosus but at home I doubted it and then again seeing the photos. It is certainly not a genus to begin with!
pointing towards squamosus, are the long lasting inrolled margin and only weakly depressed centre. They are hard to tell apart from imbricatus sometimes.
A worldwide investigation of the genus is certainly needed. A recent swedish revision has resulted in 3 new species so far (just provisional names yet) – and that is only swedish material..
