distinctions (for me) is deciding whether one of these grainy brown-spored wood-dwellers is F. erinaceellus or P. granulosa. I think one trait which leads toward F. erinaceellus is when the appendiculate cap margin shows the little pointed projections. Zoom-in seems to show this trait for the mushrooms in this obs. Also, the large grains on the stipes seems to favor erinaceellus.
Collections I have IDed as either species have spores with similar color, size, and shape.
