Observation 131057: Ganoderma annulare (Fries) Gilbertson
When: 2013-03-30
No herbarium specimen

Notes: This was growing on a Bay Laurel.
I gathered a few of the bay leaves below the polypore which were covered with the rusty spores.
The spores were ~ 9.2-13.8 X 7.0-8.9 microns. They were double-walled with apparent hairs between the two walls. The outer wall was hyaline in KOH and the long end seemed to collapse in many cases. When it was intact it lead to larger spore measurements.
