When: 2013-04-04

Collection location: Rollins Lake, Nevada Co., California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)

No specimen available

These were growing on the side of a bank near the lake.
Conditions wet with a light rain.
Caps up to 4 cm across.
Taste was mild and latex whitish with no subsequent staining or color change.
Spore print white and spores ~ 8.0-9.2(9.8) X 6.5-7.4 microns, broadly ellipsoid with warts and partial reticulation.
Didn’t save these as they were developing a mold but L. alpinus or L. alpinus var mitis seem to be close.
