Notes: Scaly Lentinus, train wrecker, On campsite at Boulder Lake: At base of red pine, grouped from same base 3-8 cm high; cap dry, convex, 4×7 cm, buff /white darker brown scales areolate, inrolled edge; gills white/cream, close, adnate (almost decurrent); stipe fleshy 3-5 cm x 1.5 cm attached at edge, same color as cap with scales flaking off, bulbous base, very small annulus at edge of gills. Comment: Common name likely due to ability to grow on creesote treated wood.
