Observation 131903: Morchella punctipes Peck

Found on trail through mixed hardwoods (tulip poplar, ash, black locust) and white pine, April 14, 2013 with the first M. angusticeps of the season. Underside of the cap is granular. Stipe hollow, no hyphae. Stipe attachment quite high, perhaps 3/4 of the way to the peak.
