We agree with Breitenbach, J., & Kränzlin, F. (1984). Fungi of Switzerland: a contribution to the knowledge of the fungal flora of Switzerland, vol 1. Ascomycetes, p. 138 who wrote: “In the lit. a C. confusa Bres. is also described, whose head and stalk are supposed to be a pale cinnamon color. Since we have encountered different sizes and color nuances in the same habitat, one might imagine that this species could be a form conditioned by the habitat, especially since the microscopic characteristics of the two species are the same.”
why not confusa?
