Notes on the herbarium label:
Cap 4 cm, reddish brown, margin white. spores 7-10 X 4-5.5 µm. No cheilocystidia seen. Stipe 5 X 0.6 cm with white vellar band. Smell pleasant
This specimen was quoted in the protologue of Cortinarius miwok Bojantchev sp.n. and technically it is a paratype of this newly described species.
