I have trouble believing this one considering that the brunt of lentinus and its allies are tropical in distribution. Cool find!

a bit different than the other Lentinula I have found down here, though I read in “The genus Lentinula in the Americas”(Mata et al, 2001) that Lentinula raphanica is the only species found in the Gulf Coast region.

in Costa Rica being called L. boryana, but the ID was tentative.
