Observation 133881: Cortinarius flavobasilis M.M. Moser & O.K. Mill. ex Peintner, Kuhn.-Fink., C.L. Cripps & Ammirati

Growing on the ground under mixed conifers @ ~ 4000 ft.
Caps up to 3.2 cm across.
Spores ~ 8.0-9.1 X 4.2-5.1 microns and moderately rough.

I now see a couple of other Observations of mine of the same grp.

C. flavobasalis gr.

Ron, see the yellowish tinges at the base of the stem — this is typical for C. flavobasalis gr. This one likely to be what is considered s.s.
